After nearly twenty years pastoring Baptist churches in Cardiff, Coventry and Banbury; and then teaching Religious Studies, Philosophy and Ethics in Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire and Northamptonshire; Mike has now retired, and continues a ministry of teaching, writing and encouragement for the wider church.

Mike ...
is an accredited minister (retired) of the
Baptist Union of Great Britain
is a personal member of the Evangelical Alliance
holds a University of Oxford M.A. in Theology
is a qualified teacher
has been a local co-ordinator for New Wine Networks

has spoken at Leading Edge, and New Wine conferences
and has been a visiting lecturer at Westminster Theological Centre, and at St Paul's Theological Centre (Trinity, Cheltenham).

Mike's acknowledged strength is biblical, scholarly rooted teaching which is accessible and understandable to people of all backgrounds. He enjoys teaching with "PowerPoint" - using photos from his extensive travelling, maps, timelines, graphics, video and sound effects to bring the Bible
alive.

He is passionate about the equipping of the local church; the training, care and support of church leaders, both in the UK and in developing world countries; and learning to stop trying to use the Holy Spirit, and instead to let Him use us.

Mike's "home" church is Trinity, Cheltenham, where he is a member of the Teaching Team, and is a part-time member of staff as Tutor in Theology with St Paul's Theological Centre.
